Commercial Photography and Creative Production, Based in Wanaka
I started taking wine photos in Cromwell because that's where I was, and there wasn't anyone doing the kind of commercial work industry called for. So I figured - why not me.
Turned out I had the eye for it. One project led to another - wine led to food, food led to brand work, and at some point "taking photos for owners" became a full commercial photography studio based in Wānaka.
Now working with food, beverage, wellness, and lifestyle brands across New Zealand.
Five years on, that's still basically the story.
I've worked alongside marketing teams across New Zealand long enough to know the lingo, understand what performs, and spot the gap between what a brand asks for and what actually gets delivered.
That's what I bring - creative-led collaboration that results in imagery your marketing actually works with. Not just nice photos. Photos that do something.
What sets Brandstories apart isn't a more dramatic style or a bigger camera bag. It's that I sit close to the commercial side, I know what a marketing manager is trying to solve before they've finished explaining it. I bring honesty, directness, and an assertive eye to a process that usually has too many moving parts - and we make it a success story.
Every project gets the same care, scaled to what it needs. Some briefs call for a creative collaborator to help shape the concept and styling. Others just need a clear, direct approach and someone who can run with it.
